Flying High: The adorable cherub pictured here belongs to DAVID and Patty (Johns Hopkins '92) HOLTZ. Dan was born in August 2001. Proud daddy, David, will finish Ob/Gyn residency in Philadelphia this June, and jump straight into a Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at U. Penn. Rabbi GIL (formerly Phillip) STEINLAUF was installed as Rabbi of Temple Israel in Ridgewood, NJ in Jan '02. He and wife, Rabbi Batya Steinlauf, have three lovely children, Elana (5) Noah (3), and Meirav (1 1/2). Congratulations! DAVID MILLS has been working for three years as an investigator for a nonprofit law firm in Durham, N.C. that does death-penalty defense work for people who cannot afford their own lawyers. His work reached its high point in January when his client received clemency from Governor Mike Easley just seven hours before the scheduled execution. David subsequently changed jobs and is now working for a liberal think tank in Raleigh, N.C. David and his wife Leila Keen (Earlham '94) live in Durham.
